A Simple Large-Signal Nonlinear Modeling Approach for Fast Simulation of Zero-Current-Switch Quasi-Resonant Converters

چکیده
A nonlinear modeling approach for zero-currentswitch (ZCS) quasi-resonant converters (QRC) is proposed which can be derived easily using simple analytical techniques. The converter model obtained is readily absorbed by MATLAB for analysis and design of both the openand closed-loop configurations in fast speed. Simulations have shown its accuracy, even for large-signal transient responses. Applications of this modeling approach to the three basic topologies of buck, boost, and buck–boost converters are given as illustrative examples. The condition for zero-current switching is identified from the model. The feasibility of applying this proposed modeling approach to the extended period QRC topologies is to be discussed. Simulation results for the three basic topologies are given to show the merits of the proposed modeling approach.

A nonlinear model for zero-current-switch quasi-resonant-converters is proposed which can be derived easily using simple analytical techniques. The condition for zero-current switching is also identified from this model.
متن کاملAn 1326 Application Note
Over the past two decades plenty of resonant and quasi-resonant converters have been developed and proposed as an answer to the difficulties raised by square-wave converters, especially those related to their parasitic elements. The basic idea is to put these parasitics in use. The core of both classes of converters is a tank circuit. Unlike resonant converters, where it takes part actively in ...
متن کاملOn Model Predictive Control of Quasi-Resonant converters
In this paper, different model predictive control synthesis frameworks are examined for DC–DC quasi-resonant converters in order to achieve stability and desired performance. The performances of model predictive control strategies which make use of different forms of linearized models are compared. These linear models are ranging from a simple fixed model, linearized about a reference steady st...
متن کاملSingle-Cycle Resonant Converters: A New Group of Quasi-Resonant Converters Suitable for High-Performance dc/dc and ac/ac Conversion Applications
A new resonant switch and a new family of zerocurrent and zero-voltage mixed-mode switching quasi-resonant converters (QRC’s) called single-cycle resonant converters (SCRC’s) are proposed to improve the performance of the conventional QRC’s. The proposed SCRC’s, which include two active switches operated with zero-current switching (ZCS) and zero-voltage switching (ZVS), respectively, show very...
متن کاملIntroduction and Analysis of a Novel Quasi - Series Resonant DC Link
Soft Switcing techniques have recently been applied in the design of dc-ac converters, in order to achive better performance, higher efficiency, and power density. One of the soft switching techniques uesd in inverters is resonant dc links. These topologies have some disadvantages such as irregular current peaks, large voltage peaks, uncotrollble pulse width, etc. Another soft switching method ...
